For this project, the property owner needed to reclaim old recreational court areas that were no longer being used. The worn tennis and basketball courts were cracked, fenced in, and taking up valuable outdoor space. C-Mac Landscaping was brought in to clear the site, rebuild the surface, and create a clean, usable lawn that would blend naturally with the rest of the property.
Project Overview
Removing Old Fencing and Court Materials
We started by taking down the chain-link fencing that surrounded the old courts. Once the fencing and posts were removed, our crew demolished the remaining tennis and basketball court surfaces, clearing away all asphalt, concrete, and deteriorated materials. This allowed us to open up the space and prepare for a complete rebuild.
Rebuilding the Base with 150 Yards of Loam
After the demolition phase, the area needed a fresh foundation. We delivered and spread 150 yards of high-quality loam, shaping and grading the space to create a smooth, even surface. Proper grading was an essential part of the transformation, ensuring the new lawn would drain correctly and grow evenly across the entire area.
Hydroseeding for a Healthy New Lawn
With the loam fully prepared, we finished the project with hydroseed. This application provides fast, uniform germination and sets the stage for dense, healthy grass. The property owner now has a fresh, clean lawn area that can be used for recreation, gatherings, or general open space.
